Checkmate: Russian hypersonic weapons rule out US-NATO naval assault

June 12, 2016 -
Valentin Vasilescu, Katehon -

The US rules the globe, having a navy three times stronger than that of Russia. Moreover, the Pentagon has created a strategic command to deploy large units of land forces, consisting of hundreds of cargo ships of large capacity. All of these vessels are organized in very strong expeditionary naval groups and around aircraft carriers, amphibious landing ships, and naval convoys of troops and military equipment.

With troops deployed in Europe and Asia, with the armies of allied states, the US can trigger an invasion of Russia. Therefore Russia's new military doctrine establishes that the biggest risk to Russia's security groups is the American expeditionary naval groups, which can transport invasion troops to the Russian border.

Several types of anti-ballistic shield protect US naval expeditionary groups and zones of landing for troops from transport ships. The first is the naval system AEGIS armed with SM-3 block 1b mounted on US destroyers and cruisers AEGIS, plus anti-ballistic shields in Poland and one in Romania. The second is the mobile THAAD system of the US land forces, defending landing zones. Add to this the mobile long-range missile anti-aircraft batteries like Patriot with anti-ballistic capabilities against missiles that are in their final stage of the path, under an altitude of 35,000 m.

The premise from which Russian experts started building hypersonic vehicles was that American antiballistic missiles cannot intercept any projectile flying in the mesosphere (at altitudes of 35.000- 80.000 m), and that Russia, unlike the US, owns a number of very powerful rocket engines. For example, the Pentagon and NASA cannot send satellites into orbit if Russia does not deliver the RD-180 rocket engines. Russia is on the verge of creating, starting in 2018, the surest antidote to this vulnerability by means of a hypersonic battle. Aerial vehicles are classified according to the airspeed as follows: subsonic (below the speed of 1,220 km/h, - Mach 1) supersonic (speeds between Mach 1 and Mach 5 - up to 6000 km/h), and hypersonic (with speeds between Mach 5 and Mach 10 – up to 12,000 km/h).

Russian hypersonic weapons

The main Russian hypersonic weapon are derived from space glider Yu-71 (Project 4202), which flew during tests at a speed of 6000-11200 km/h over a distance of 5,500 km at a cruising altitude below 80,000 m, receiving repeated pulses from a rocket engine to climb, execute maneuvers and cornering trajectory. It is estimated that the glider is armed with warheads that are spatially independent, with autonomous guidance systems similar to the air-ground missiles Kh-29 L/T and T Kh-25 (which provides a probable deviation of 2-6 m). Although it may take nuclear warheads, the space glider will be armed with conventional warheads and will be powered by a rocket launched normally from nuclear-powered Russian submarines.

Another variant of the hypersonic weapon derived from the Yu-71 would be those launched from the Russian military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A (II-476). Since 50% of the missile’s fuel is spent solely on take off and rising though the layers of extremely dense atmosphere of up to 10,000 m, mass launcher and glider space represents 50% of the rocket carrier used to launch from nuclear-powered submarines.

The second type of weapon different from hypersonic spatial glider is the Zirkon 3M22 missile, which is launched from maritime patrol aircraft. Zirkon has a speed of Mach 6.2 (6500 km/h) at a cruising altitude of 30,000 m and a kinetic energy at impact with the target 50 times higher than existing air-ship and ship-to ship missiles.

Hypersonic concept for a war

The new Russian military doctrine states that an attack on the American invasion fleet is to be executed in three waves, three alignments, thus preventing American expeditionary naval groups from positioning themselves near the Russian coast of the Baltic Sea. The first wave of hypersonic weapons, consisting of space gliders arranged on Russian nuclear-powered submarines under immersion in the middle of the Atlantic, starts fighting US naval expeditionary groups as they start crossing the Atlantic to Europe. The American naval groups need 7-8 days to cross the Atlantic; the plane Il-76MD-90A has a maximum flight distance of 6300 km and can be powered in the air, reaching the middle of the Atlantic Ocean in a few hours.

If the first wave does not destroy the targets, the second wave of hypersonic weapons will be launched on the US naval groups when they are located 1,000 km from the eastern shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The attack will be launched from the Russian submarines in the Barents Sea or Plesesk base of strategic missiles, located near the Arctic Circle and the White Sea.

The third wave of hypersonic attack will be executed by missiles 3M22 Zirkon launched on American naval groups when they would be in the Skagerrak strait (crossing the North Sea to the Baltic Sea), on the assumption that NATO is attacking Russia through the Baltics. If the American expeditionary naval group head to the Black Sea, it will be hit by the third wave of hypersonic weapons in the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits.

Thus, Poland, the Baltic States, and Romania – all NATO countries that use highly aggressive language and actions against Russia - should think better before triggering a military incident with Russia, since these countries rely only on military aid over the Atlantic Ocean, which might never come.

UAF Positions US Guidance Systems Before Shelling DPR

Translated by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ
10th June, 2016

The beginning of the shelling of DPR territory during the night of the 9th of June coincided with the arrival of a US military diplomats and the deployment of American artillery targeting systems near Avdeevka. This was stated today by Deputy Commander of the Operational Command Denis Sinenkov at a briefing.

"It should be noted that the provocation coincided within a minute of the deployment of two US radar artillery aiming systems AN-TPQ-48 and AN-TPQ-36," he said.

Sinenkov noted that at the same time, a group of military diplomats were spotted near Avdeevka, "headed by Colonel M. van Devilche and his assistant E. Selfom, accompanied by representatives of the Armed Forces".

"Yesterday's cynical scale of the shelling of settlements of the Republic, which resulted in casualties among civilians and the destruction of homes, was adjusted by unmanned UAF aerial vehicles," said the commander.

US Wants to Ban Russian Import Substitution

Translated by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ
8th June, 2016

A letter from the US Committee on the investment measures of the WTO with questions about 13 Russian documents governing the import substitution in the field of automotive industry, engineering, and information technology (at the disposal of Life.Ru) said that the proposal of the Russian government may be contrary to "the Agreement on investment measures relating to the trade regime" (TRIMs). Compliance with this document is binding for all countries participating in the World Trade Organization.

In the complaint to the WTO, the US asked to confirm or dispel these fears. As a reminder, on January 28th, 2015, the government of the Russian Federation approved "the plan of priority measures for the sustainable economic development and social stability in the country". An important part of the document was to support import substitution and the export of a wide range of manufactured goods, including high-tech.

According to the Americans, "Article 2 of the document, "National treatment and quantitative restrictions" indicates that the participating countries can apply measures aimed at granting preferential treatment to local goods in relation to goods imported, to introduce restrictions on the purchase of imports associated with the volume and value of exported goods and goods of local origin".

Therefore, the partner of the "Zamoskvorechye" legal office, Dmitry Shevchenko, announced possible claims made by the US. In fact, Americans believe "that many of the provisions of the Russian government's anti-crisis plan is related to state procurement and goes beyond the scope of TRIMs".

Russia Has Reduced the American Super Weapon to Zero

Translated by Soviet Bear for Fort Russ
June 3rd 2016

There is a euphoria of the first successes in the creation of new types of weapons in military-scientific circles in the US. In a familiar manner, the Americans dubbed their discovery the "superweapon".

It is a humongous and bulky installation, which is capable of firing a projectile under the influence of the electromagnetic field. First results of the tests demonstrated good abilities of the American invention. This significantly enhances the combat power of the weapon, unlike traditional ones, which uses powder charges.

The American military has already hastened to declare, that all the power of the new invention will be directed against Russia in Europe and China in Asia. It is likely that such statements can cause tremors in the knees of an ignorant person. However, such intimidation should be treated with some skepticism. There are two reasons for this.

The first - the American gun is only at the initial testing stage. Therefore, it is still early to talk about its full capabilities;
The second – Russia has a similar design; it was tested multiple times, but not as advertised.

Consequently, the American "superweapon" is nothing but another simple advertising campaign. Probably the US military as well as their scientists are not interested in the scientific discoveries of the rest of the world.

What do representatives of the Pentagon say? Their new gun fires a projectile weighing 3 kg at a speed of 2.5 kilometers per second. In contrast to foreign counterpart, Russian design fires a projectile weighing 3 kg with a much faster speed of 6.25 kilometers per second.

Even based on these experimental figures, it becomes clear that American scientists have not created a new “superweapon”. And when you consider that the statements of the US military implied that the weapons will be directed to contain of Russia and China, then we can assume about similar developments in China.

Bulky design of electromagnetic guns, according to Russian engineers, does not allow installing them on combat platforms that are in service. You will need to create a brand new array of land and maritime equipment.

According to scientists of the Russian Federation, the capabilities of the new weapons will allow to destroy space satellites. Guns mounted on the tanks will allow the armored vehicles to be invincible and they will have greater destructive power.

According to the department of armaments and equipment use of the Russian Navy, it is too early to talk about creating a new weapon in both Russia and the United States. Nevertheless, the Americans confidently declare their readiness to create a “new superweapon” in 2020.

The Americans probably should think before they advertise. According to the American press, the US has spent approximately $500 million on this new design. Moreover, to prepare the weapon for practical use they will have to spend another $800 million.

One of their latest blunders is a widely publicized F-35 “superplane”. An aircraft which has not justified hopes and financial assets invested in it and in the end may prove to be the most useless in the history of the United States.

Perhaps not exactly valid comparison, but the American "railgun" could just become another "failgun" for the average American.

US to Give Ukraine Next Tranche Worth $1 Billion

Translated by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ
3rd June, 2016

The authorities of Ukraine and the US have signed an agreement on the allocation of the third loan tranche of $1 billion to Kiev. This was reported by the press-service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

"On June 3rd, an agreement was signed on granting credit guarantees worth $1 billion between the governments of Ukraine and the USA. From the government of Ukraine, the agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Alexander Danylyuk, and from the US government — US Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt and the authorized representative of the USAID mission Joel Sandefur," stated the message.

As was reported, funds to the amount of $1 billion will be gained from issuing bonds under the credit guarantee of the United States, and will go into the general state budget fund of Ukraine.

"These funds will be allocated for social support of the most vulnerable economic areas, including bringing gas tariffs to market levels," said the press-service.

In May, the US plans to provide Ukraine with the third tranche of credit guarantees worth $1 billion, confirmed the Vice-President of the US Joe Biden.

Sshhh! Don't tell Obama: US Library of Congress Contains Proof of OUN Nuremberg Conviction

Translated and Edited by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ
30th May, 2016

The Brandenburg-800 regiment played an important role in the attack on the Soviet Union. Two battalions - Nahtigal and Roland - were Banderists.

This is confirmed on a page in a PDF book from the US library of Congress with the Protocol of the Nuremberg trials. It is impossible for it to be faked.

Thus, Bandera, Shukhevych, and the OUN in general was an important part of the Barbarossa plan  - the attack on the Soviet Union.

Of course, Ukrainian Nazis will scream that it is a fake and that is not in the Protocol, and that it is all propaganda. But everything is there.

Stepan Bandera street crosses with the UPA heroes street. At the intersection of these streets is a square with a monument to Nazi Stepan Bandera.

Lviv - Western Ukraine. Intersection of the Melnik and Konovalets
Street, who were both Abwer-2 agents during WW2, which is directly proven in the Nuremberg Tribunal documents.

Examples of OUN/UPA involvement in German Nachtigall Battalion:

VONSUL Ivan - "Maksim"

Javorsky Kasimir-Yaroslav Andreevich

Ostap Lynda - "Yarema"

[O.R: The above information puts the current US support for the neo-nazi regime in Kiev into perspective. Contained in the US Library of Congress, a national library, is a document that directly highlights the hypocrisy and double standards of both condemning Hitler and his party and, in 2014, voting against Russia's bill anti-Nazism bill at the UN General Assembly.]

Duma States the Need to Expand the Military Operation of Russia in Syria

Translated by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ
28th May, 2016

The State Duma spoke about the need to expand the military operation of Russia in Syria: The airforce needs in the near future to make unilateral airstrikes on militants from "al-Nusra (terrorist group forbidden in Russia). This was stated by the head of the Duma Committee on Defense, former Black Sea fleet commander Admiral Vladimir Komoyedov.

According to Komoyedov, while Russia was waiting for US' response to the joint action plan, Jabhat al-Nusra managed to regroup forces. "During this period, "al-Nusra" has increased, regained strength, and is mostly active... we should not just run, and it's time to end this," he said in an interview to"Interfax".

According to the head of the Duma Committee on Defense, if active operations against Jabhat al-Nusra" in Syria do not begin, "it is possible to lose something positive that has been achieved".

On Wednesday, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov said that it was decided to postpone attacks on the militant group because of terrorists and troops of the Syrian opposition.

According to the representative of the Defense Ministry, calls by the opposition groups came from various provinces of Syria, especially from Aleppo and Damascus.

Earlier, Russia suggested to the United States, from May 25th, to start a joint attack with the aerospace forces of the Russian Federation and aircraft from the coalition led by the United States on the units of al-Nusra and other groups that do not support the cessation of hostilities. As was noted, in the event of refusal, the Russian Federation reserves the right on this day to unilaterally destroy the terrorists. The Pentagon said that Washington does not intend to coordinate their military actions in Syria with Russia.

Russia should ban the sale of rockets to the US -- Korochenko

US into space, on Russian rocket engines? (Screen capture from tvzvezda)

Igor Korochenko -- screen capture from video at source.

tvzvezda.ru/, April 9, 2016

Translated from Russian by Tom Winter

Igor Korochenko, the editor in chief of "National Defense", and the director of the World Arms Trade Analysis Center declared on the website of the TV channel "Star" that Russia should impose sanctions on the United States and not sell rocket engines to Washington.

"The Russian Federation should impose sanctions against the United States - and ban the sale of rocket engines. Let put their satellites into space with slingshots from the MAIDAN." Korochenko tweeted on the Twitter microblog.

According to him, Washington is demonstrating frank power and frank political pressure on Moscow. Therefore, the Russian Federation should impose a ban on exports of rocket engines to the US, without which the program of the Pentagon's military satellites will be doomed to failure.

"I think it would be a strong political move. It will show Washington that any sanctions will countered. It will be very painful. These things must be done. Do not be afraid to put the United States in its place. And Russia has leverage over America." the expert added.
