IMPORTANT: "There can be no discussion of returning to Ukropia - Zakharchenko

The head of the People's Republic of Donetsk, Alexander Zakharchenko, has called out the conditions for discussion of integration with Ukraine, the first of which would have to be Ukraine's exit from "Ukropia."

The head of state said it in the framework of an online conference with residents of Donbass.

"There can be no discussion on returning to 'Ukropia.'" But talk about the principles of association in one form or another with Ukraine -- when it will again become Ukraine -- is quite possible, in my opinion," said Zakharchenko.

According to him, the people of Ukraine will have to change out the existing criminal authorities, to condemn war criminals, and to prosecute members of the destroyer battalions, the politicians, and the journalists inciting war in the Donbass.

"When free elections will be held and when, after such elections, real constitutional reform will be accomplished, under which Ukraine will become a confederation, which will be respected by the national-cultural, historical and economic features of confederation subjects, then, with such a Ukraine as that - that is no longer Ukropia - we may well talk," summed up the leader of Donbass.
