Reports: Rada Speaker Groysman Refused to Head the Cabinet of Ministers

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman refused to head the new government, as his requirements were not taken into account. This was reported on the website "Ukrainian truth" citing the Deputy of the Rada from the party "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko" - Mustafa Nayyem.

"Chairman of the Rada Volodymyr Groysman refused to head the Cabinet. This was reported by "Ukrainian truth" who cited the Deputy of the PPO - Mustafa Nayyem. According to him, the current speaker of Parliament did not want to work in the Cabinet as negotiations on his conditions did not bear any fruit," said the publication.

As was reported by Unian with reference to the Deputy from "Bloc Petro Poroshenko" Alexey Goncharenko, the faction "BPP" and "popular front" did not agree with Groysman on the structure and composition of the Cabinet and thus the negotiations continue.

"According to the Constitution, the coalition submits a name to the Prime Minister, and the PM makes a proposal to the Verkhovna Rada. That is, it needs to be an agreed position and it should be agreed before we will vote for a new Prime Minister. At this moment, we also agree that the position has not been filled thus far. Therefore, the negotiations will continue," said Goncharenko.

Amid the prolonged political crisis, Prime Minister Yatsenyuk stated his intention to resign, and on Tuesday the corresponding paperwork will be tabled in Parliament for approval. According to him, the Prime Minister's faction "popular front" remains in the coalition. Deputies expect that on Tuesday, Parliament will vote for the resignation of Yatsenyuk in the Verkhovna Rada and a coalition will be created: according to preliminary data, it will be formed from the Prime Minister's faction "People's Front" and the Presidential "Bloc of Poroshenko". The main contender for the role of the new Prime Minister is the speaker of the Rada Volodymyr Groysman.
