With reference to the military commissariat of the republic, TASS reported that Chechnya will be excluded from the spring draft of 2016.

According to the military commissioner of Chechnya Ahmed Dzheirkhanov there will be no draft in the region, as "the guys are going through adaptation". "For almost a quarter of a century Chechens were not drafted in the army," - he said.

Large-scale conscription of young Chechens of military age occurred for the first time in 22 years in 2014, the quota was 500 people. At the moment the commissariat of Chechnya is analyzing how the Chechen conscripts served. "For now we see a positive dynamic, everything is fine. Commanders of military units sent letters of gratitude to the military commissioner for 181 soldiers, about 100 soldiers received the title of junior commanders," - said Dzheirkhanov.

The commissioner also noted that conscription contingent in Chechnya at the moment is about 86 000 people. In case of successful adaptation of new recruits they will be sent to other regions of Russia.

Spring draft for military service will be conducted from April 1 to July 15.
