A penguin from the Georgian zoo discovered in Azerbaijan




TBILISI, June 17 — News-Georgia 

The African penguin, which escaped from Tbilisi zoo during the devastating floods, was discovered in the river at Red bridge (Georgian-Azerbaijani border), reported to the correspondent of "News-Georgia" the representative of a press-services of the zoo on Wednesday, June 17.

After the flood on the night of June 14, a zoo in Tbilisi was in a very difficult situation. Water completely destroyed the lower part of the zoo. Some animals drowned, and some escaped to the city, and on Sunday predators were chased or shot throughout the entire city of Tbilisi. In the end, after the floods of the 600 inhabitants of the zoo survived less than half.
